Emerald City Comicon Photo Parade

Last Weekend, Seattle, Washington saw their yearly pop culture extravaganza launch in their town in the form of the 2011 edition of the Emerald City Comicon. CBR was there, covering Emerald City panels and news in a big way. Plus, we had not one, but two photographers on the scene to capture all the action. As CBR has done for more than 10 years, we present our regular convention photo parades, capturing the sights and sounds of comics culture around the country with commentary by CBR Executive Producer Jonah Weiland.

The following photos were taken by Mike Harring.
UNIVERSES COLLIDE: Deadpool & Lobo Battle Supreme Hellboy masks galore at the Dark Horse booth.
The DC Comics Booth A fantastic Death of the Endless (I almost said Lady Death, which is something else entirely).
Emi Lennox, creator of “Emitown” from Image Comics. From left to right – Image creators Jay Faerber, Kurtis Wiebe, Scott Kowalchuk and Riley Rossmo
The crowds at ECCC appear to have been major! Gal Gardent, Green Lantern of Sector Pacific North West.
Hit Girl & Big Daddy Wolverine gets all the ladies.
Kirby Krackle’s Kyle Stevens One of these five is a Halo character. The rest, I dunno.
The following photos were taken by Andre Tan.
Local media interviews a Storm Trooper. Talk about hard hitting journalism! I’m not sure what she is, but she’s freaking me out!
A very dapper and homemade Darth Vader with a very much not dapper Ghostbuster. (EDIT: I’m told that’s actually Dark Helmet from “Spaceballs.” I like Dapper Darth better.) The best part of this photo is in the full size version — you’d think Aquaman would carry around his water in a reusable bottle. AQUAMAN FAIL!.
Frank Quitely Matt Fraction
Dan Jurgens Chris Samnee
Yanick Paquette Steve Lieber
A very sweet Star Trek: TOS cosplayer. This chick’s got attitude! Love that smirk.
I just love Hawaiian Holiday Deadpool. Excellent.
I think there’s a reason why we don’t see a lot of Golden Age Green Lantern’s at conventions. Ron Marz
If that’s a home made Alien head, then it’s impressive. If that’s store bought, well, dude, you got ripped. Welcome!
Just take in this picture for all it’s awesomness. Dead or passed out? YOU DECIDE! Little TRON action for ya!
Let’s Do The Timewarp Again! “The Walking Dead” inspires this excellent zombie with zombie Barbie (blow up to see full image, it’s worth it).
The Littlest American Hero Too cute.
This girl’s got moves! Excellent Velma and Scooby!
The zombie girl returns! The zombie girl attacks!
Tardis riding fool. Deadpool
Just wow. A human Tardis!
A puffy predator who probably needs Weight Watchers. We will never escape 1960s Batman.
Oh God, no. It’s probably a good thing the surf board is covering up most of this guy’s bits.
Venom. Xena still registers on people’s radar? I had no idea.
Hellboy is killing it! Watch out for those wings!
Wolverine gets intense! Vintage Who cosplay.
