"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Dollhouse" alum Eliza Dushku has joined the Cinemax crime thriller "Banshee," Deadline reports.

Created by Jonathan Tropper and David Schickler, the series stars Antony Starr as an enigmatic ex-con who assumes the identity of Lucas Hood, the murdered sheriff of Banshee, Pennsylvania, while trying to hide from a crime lord. There, he hands out justice while still embracing a life of crime.

Dushku will have a recurring role in the upcoming fourth season as Agent Veronica Dawson, a tough and reckless FBI profiler who joins forces with Hood to hunt down a killer.
