Hank Pym may not be responsible for Ultron’s creation in Marvel’s upcoming Avengers sequel, but fans still see him on the big screen in 2015.

In an interview with io9.com about The World’s End, director Edgar Wright confirmed that the scientist turned superhero appears in his long-planned Ant-Man, which opens Nov. 6, 2015. Although are no quotes from the filmmaker, the site reports confirmation “that we will, indeed, meet Hank Pym.”

Pym’s inclusion in Ant-Man may feel like a given for some, but it wasn’t always a certainty. Many heroes (a term used loosely in some cases) have donned the Ant-Man mantle, including reformed criminal Scott Lang, a likelier bet to take center stage in what Wright has described as “a badass secret agent” take on the shrinking superhero.

For a moment, fans had reason to wonder if Pym would ever make it into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After revealing Avengers: Age of Ultron as the name of his next movie, Whedon made it clear that Pym is not in the film and that a new origin for the robot is in the works.
