Need another reason to pay attention to Westworld, HBO's adaptation of the 1973 Michael Crichton movie? Here's a big one.

Ed Harris, the four-time Oscar nominee and genre favorite (looking at you, The Abyss), has signed on to star in Westworld, Entertainment Weekly reports. He'll play the Man in Black, described by EW as "the distillation of pure villainy into one man." With his icy blue gaze and growling voice, Harris' character could become a television villain for the ages.

Harris is hardly the first high-profile actor to board Westworld. The developing pilot also includes Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright and James Marsden. Adapted by J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot, Westworld takes place in a futuristic theme park populated by humanoid robots.
