Artist Dustin Weaver has unveiled seven illustrations paying homage to the Image Comics founders.

The drawings showcase characters from each founder's debut book at Image: Rob Liefeld's Youngblood, Jim Lee's WildC.A.T.S, Todd McFarlane's Spawn, Erik Larsen’s Savage Dragon, Jim Valentino’s ShadowHawk, Marc Silvestri’s Cyberforce and Whilce Portacio’s WetWorks.

Established in 1992 after the founders grew frustrated with Marvel's work-for-hire practices, Image debuted with "Youngblood," "The Savage Dragon," "Spawn" and "WildC.A.T.S.," with the others soon following their ranks. The company has grown over the past 24 years to become the third-largest publisher in the direct market, with an acclaimed lineup that includes "Saga," "Bitch Planet," "The Walking Dead," "East of West," "Descender," "Monstress," "Casanova" and "The Wicked + The Divine."

Weaver's credits include Dark Horse's "Star Wars" books, and such Marvel titles as "Astonishing X-Men," "Avengers" "S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Infinity."
