Two beloved icons from the United Kingdom unite and take over in a new variant cover for Titan Comics' "Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor" #2.6. Illustrated by artist Simon Myers.
LOOK: "Doctor Who" Variants Homage Famous Album Covers
The cover is an homage to the inside cover of 1986's "The Queen Is Dead" album by Morrissey's former band, The Smiths, featuring the Tenth Doctor (played on TV by David Tennant) in front of the Salford Lads' Club in Greater Manchester. Additionally, the Doctor is holding gladioli, which Moz was known to swing about on stage in that era.
Myers has previously homaged Blondie's "Parallel Lines" and David Bowie's "Heroes" in past "Doctor Who" variant covers. The Morrissey-inspired "Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor" #2.6 variant will be available only from AOD Collectables, starting on Feb. 3.
