A rumored new synopsis for the upcoming "Doctor Strange" film includes several elements of the character's origin and skill set that fans from the comics know quite well.

In addition to concisely summing up the character's origin, the new synopsis tells of a "hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions," and among other magical jargon, touts the setting of Greenwich Village. In the original Marvel comics, Doctor Strange's headquarters, the Sanctum Sanctorum, is based in the (super expensive) New York City neighbourhood, and was at one time disguised as a Starbucks in the area.
