Disney has officially broken ground on its 14-acre Star Wars-themed lands at Disneyland Anaheim, California, and Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida.

This announcement this morning was accompanied by a playful 360-degree photo of the Disneyland construction site that reveals BB-8, R2-D2, Stormtroopers, Imperial walkers, TIE Fighters, X-wings and more.

The largest-ever single-themed land expansions at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, the Star Wars areas will feature as their centerpiece a Millennium Falcon attraction in which visitors can “actually pilot the fastest ship in the galaxy,” and another that places guests in the midst of a battle between the Resistance and the First Order “in a race against time.” Other attractions will include a street market, a cantina and an upscale dinner club.

Disneyland closed several Frontierland attractions in early January to make way for construction of Star Wars land. Disney’s Hollywood Studios likewise will shut down numerous attractions on April 2, and removed the iconic Earffel Tower.

No opening date has been announced for either Star Wars-themed land.
