Surprising no one, CEO Bob Iger revealed Tuesday that Disney has plans for “a far greater Star Wars presence” at its theme parks.

According to Entertainment Weekly, he promised that the sci-fi franchise would become one of Disney's answer to Universal Studios' Harry Potter attractions. Details are expected sometime next year.

Disney, which purchased Lucasfilm in 2012 for $4.05 billion, already features Star Tours--The Adventures Continue attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland, and will host Star Wars Celebration next year in Anaheim, California.

The entertainment giant acquired Marvel three years earlier, but is limited in its integration of the company's properties into its theme parks by an earlier agreement giving Universal Studios’ Islands of Adventure exclusive rights to Marvel characters in Florida.

However, that hasn't prevented Disney from using the superheroes at its other parks; Hong Kong Disneyland is expected to have its own Marvel area, complete with the Iron Man Experience, while Disney Cruise Line's flagship boasts its own Avengers Academy for kids. Disneyland has also featured Iron Man Tech Presented by Stark Industries and a similar Thor attraction, both tied to their respective movies.
