Ever since its initial opening in 1987, Star Tours has provided visitors at Walt Disney theme parks the opportunity to ride into the Star Wars universe and immerse themselves in the stunning locales and moments from the iconic space western franchise.

The ride was relaunched in 2011 as Star Tours: The Adventures Continue and has steadily been updated ever since, with revisions adding new sequences for recently released Star Wars films. With The Rise of Skywalker now in theaters, Disney has updated the fan-favorite ride once again, adding two locations from Episode IX: the stormy waters of Kef Bir with the wreckage of the Second Death Star and the climactic battle against the Final Order above the Sith world of Exogol.

The Kef Bir sequence has a memorable encounter with an underwater monster in Emperor Palpatine's old throne room before riders are greeted in a video message from Lando Calrissian recruiting them into the final battle.

Star Tours is available at Disneyland in Anaheim, Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disneyland. It is currently unknown if The Rise of Skywalker updates have been added to the Japanese and French theme park locations.
