Brad Bird and Damon Lindelof's Tomorrowland has been shrouded in mystery since it was announced two years ago as 1952. We've gleaned bits and pieces of information along the way and learned of various actors joining the project -- George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Britt Robertson and Raffey Cassidy -- but for the most part, we're still in the dark. However, Disney has now revealed an official synopsis:

Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as Tomorrowland.

Based on what we've already seen, Robertson is the "optimistic teen" mentioned in the synopsis, while Clooney is the former boy-genius. Oddly, the paragraph doesn't mention the young robot girl played by Raffey Cassidy (as revealed by The Hollywood Reporter in April) or Laurie's villain character.

This being a Bird/Lindelof project, we don't actually expect to learn too much about the project before its Dec. 14, 2014 release.
