The excitement of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is coming to the high seas, thanks to Disney Cruise Line's upcoming Marvel Day at Sea.

The Guardians of the Galaxy will have a special place of honor during the Marvel Day at Sea. According to Disney, the film is the inspiration for an adults-only Marvel experience. Adults will be able to have some grown-up fun in Fathoms nightclub, which will be outfitted as a Ravager hideout.

"While you mingle with the interstellar outlaws, an electrifying alien dance performance gets the fun started, amping up the energy before a few of your favorite Guardians join the party," wrote Cara Allen, Disney Cruise Line Public Relations Manager. "As the night continues, you may even get to see the dance-loving Star-Lord gett his groove on." The dance music of choice? Star-Lord's personal mixtapes of course.

Disney Cruise Line has thrown special events similar to Marvel Day at Sea in the past. Last year, during Star Wars Day at Sea, passengers on select Caribbean voyages were able to meet their favorite Star Wars characters, take part in special activities, buy special merchandise and watch screenings of films from the franchise all in one day.

As we reported last year, Marvel Day at Sea -- which will take place this fall -- will also be a one-day-only affair complete with trivia games, character meet-and-greets, activities for kids participating in the Marvel's Avengers Academy, film screenings and a party on the upper deck featuring themed lighting, sound effects, pyrotechnics and Marvel's classic heroes and rogues gallery.

Marvel Day at Sea will be part of select seven and eight-night Bahamian and Canada cruises from New York and will become part of select five-night Western Caribbean cruises from Miami in early 2018.
