Though he has spoken with Warner Bros., "Mad Max: Fury Road" director George Miller revealed that rumors about his involvement with "Man of Steel 2" are "probably not true" during an interview with Digital Spy.

When asked if he'd had conversations with Warner Bros. about the "Man of Steel" followup, he explained, "There's been some of that in the mix, but I'd say probably not true."

"I hope the next film I make is a very small film without any special effects and not many stunts," he laughed.

Earlier this summer, "Death of Superman Lives" director Jon Schnepp said he knew Miller would direct the "Man of Steel" sequel during a video interview. Though Warner Bros. declined to comment on the rumor at the time, Miller's statement here seems to indicate this will not be the case.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," the next installment of the extended DC Cinematic Universe, is scheduled for release on March 25, 2016.
