"Malcolm X" star Delroy Lindo has joined "Marvel's Most Wanted" as Dominic Fortune. Deadline describes the character as a former adventurer and handgun aficionado who once sought "wealth and excitement with his globe-trotting odysseys" during his adventures in the 1930s.

Fortune first appeared in Howard Chaykin's "Marvel Preview" #2 in 1975. Duvid Jerome Fortunov grew up in New York during the 1920s, before assuming the name Dominic Fortune when he became a mercenary and costumed adventurer for hire. He has encountered characters like Iron Man, Captain America, Doctor Doom, Phil Coulson and more throughout his travels.

In addition to "Malcolm X," Lindo has a regular series role as Sheriff Tip Harrison in "Blood and Oil." He has also appeared in "Up," "The Cider House Rules," "Gone in Sixty Seconds" and more.

The show -- which features the exploits of Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood as on-again, off-again partners Bobbi "Mockingbird" Morse and Lance Hunter -- will be executive produced by the "Agents S.H.I.E.L.D." team of Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski. No air date has yet been announced. It would be the third Marvel Studios show on ABC, following "S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Agent Carter."
