"Deadpool" actor T.J. Miller will soon express himself in a very different way on screen following his addition to the cast of Sony Animation's "Emojimovie: Express Yourself."

Set for release on Aug. 11, 2017, the film follows the secret lives that emojis live inside our phones. Miller, who's also known for his starring role on HBO's "Silicon Valley," will play a character named Gene, the son of "meh" emoji parents who was born as an overly enthusiastic glitch, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Miller's casting was announced as a part of World Emoji Day, with the studio releasing a fake audition reel on Twitter. You can view the video below.

The film is directed by Anthony Leondis from script he co-wrote with Eric Siegel.
