Today, Marvel Comics released the long-hyped "Deadpool" #250, billed for months as containing the death of the title character. Concurrently, there's been a whole lot of news lately surrounding 20th Century Fox's "Deadpool" feature film, starring Ryan Reynolds.

Perhaps to dismiss any fears that one has to do with the other, Reynolds took to Twitter to share a photo of the movie Deadpool reading "Deadpool" #250 on the toilet, along with the caption, "Smells like someone died up in here. #alivepool." Whether it's simply the actor having fun with recent publishing developments or a jab at the speculated rift between Marvel and Fox over the film rights to the X-Men characters is up to interpretation at this point, but here's the tweet:

"Deadpool" -- the movie -- is scheduled for release on Feb. 12, 2016.
