MTV News caught up with Ryan Reynolds at the Sundance film festival and ask him plenty of “Green Lantern” questions. Today, they ask him about “Deadpool.” Reynolds says “Zombieland” writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick “just [understood ‘Deadpool’] right off the bat. They’re fans of the character and they were so excited.”

JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRISIS ON TWO EARTHS
IESB has another press release/interview for the upcoming direct-to-video film. This time, we hear from voice director Andrea Romano, who has worked on DC based projects since “Batman: the Animated Series.” Asked about the various talents coming to voice characters in the film, I’ve singled out her response about actor Chris Noth, who plays the good Lex Luthor of Earth-3. “Chris Noth thought he was going to be playing the evil Lex, and I think he was disappointed he didn’t get to play a villain. Still, he came through and gave a really good performance. What was funny was that at the end of the entire recording process, Chris was our absolute last session of ADR – on a late Friday afternoon. To celebrate, they brought in a tray of Cosmos, and our own Susan Chieco had a very ‘Sex in the City’ moment of walking a Cosmo in to Chris Noth. He cheered up considerably at that point.”
Release date: February 23rd, 2010

While we’re now pretty sure the Hulk will appear in the film, will Bruce Banner as played by Edward Norton also assemble? “Incredible Hulk” director Louis Leterrier tells MTV News Norton needs a compelling reason to appear as Banner again. “That would be a problem if you do the same thing over and over again. Edward’s never done the same movie twice, so I don’t think he would do that,” says Leterrier.

IGN spoke with Justin Hartley about this Friday’s Green Arrow heavy episode “Disciple” and next week’s 2-Hour event “Absolute Justice.” Of his character, Hartley says, “I think what you learn — that is a beautiful part about Oliver’s character — is this is gonna be something that torments him his whole life, and it’s not something that he’s gonna get over; it’s something that he’s gonna have to deal with. And Oliver doesn’t deal with things; he ignores them. So this is something that he can’t ignore, which is kind of neat.

Tonight, I’ll be watching a film called “Street Trash” which I’m told is “the finest exploding hobo movie.” I wasn’t aware “exploding hobos” was a genre onto itself, but I’ll let you know if it’s worth watching. We should also be finalizing the Rainwater Martini tonight, so the recipe should also appear tomorrow. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, just plain weird, or spot Mysterio up to his usual hi-jinks, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of “Hobo with a Shotgun.”
