Ryan Reynolds' Merc With a Mouth and Zazie Beetz's Domino team up in the latest photos from the set of Deapool 2.

Published by The Daily Mail show Reynolds and Beetz sharing a light-hearted moment between takes in Vancouver, British Columbia, where the Fox sequel has been filming since June 26.

Beetz (Atlanta) arrived on set Wednesday, mere days after Reynolds released the first official look at the Atlanta actress in costume and makeup.

Rob Liefeld, co-creator of Deadpool and Domino, has praised Beetz as one of the few actresses who can keep up with Reynolds onscreen.

“Some of these people be like, ‘Oh hey, this girl should have been Domino, and pick out actress A through Z,’ and I’d be like, ‘I’m not sure that they can keep up with him [Reynolds],'" he said. "And, oh my gosh, I’m not sure that Ryan’s gonna keep up with her. I think Ryan Reynolds is gonna have to work hard to keep up with Zazie. I mean, wow. You just go, ‘That chemistry is going to be spectacular.’ And that’s what it comes down to is the chemistry with these characters.”

Directed by David Leitch (John Wick), Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, and Karan Soni as Dopinder, with newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, Julian Dennison in an unknown role, and Jack Kesy as a villain widely thought to be Black Tom Cassidy. The film opens June 1, 2018.
