Much like the popular comic-book counterpart, talk of a Deadpool film never seems to die. Fans of Wade Wilson have been hoping for a more accurate portrayal of the character played by Ryan Reynolds in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Still attached to the potential spinoff, Reynolds said just last week that he thinks the R-rated film will get made "eventually."

Director Tim Miller also broached the subject with Clevver Movies, as you can see in the video below.

"We will never give up!" he said. "Deadpool is still alive and we're just waiting for the studio to embrace what an amazingly fucking awesome film this would be. Ryan is ready, I am ready, the fans are more than ready, we just need that elusive green light."

Miller also said that they've got a new script in hand from Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
