Following a series of rumors, fans finally know who will play Domino in the much-anticipated sequel to "Deadpool."

Star Ryan Reynolds revealed the actress' name this afternoon in a difficult-to-decipher photo posted on Twitter: "Atlanta" actress Zazie Beetz.

Introduced in 1992 in Marvel Comics' “X-Force” #8, Domino was created by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld. She's a genetically engineered mutant conceived as part of a secret United States government program called Project Armageddon devoted to creating perfect human weapons. In the case of Domino, who is one of the few survivors of the project, it worked. She can subtly, psychically alter random variables in her line of sight to create the illusion of extreme luck. Using her abilities, Domino can pull off near-impossible physical feats and is nigh unkillable. She can also alter the perceived luck of her foes, causing their weapons to malfunction or their shots to misfire.

Domino and Cable have a long history together, first meeting after Domino joined the mercenary S.H.I.E.L.D. group Six Pack. Domino would later go on to join Cable on the X-Force strike team, of which he was the leader. She has frequently teamed with Deadpool, even going so far in “Marvel NOW!” to reform the Mercs for Money super-team, established by Deadpool.

Beetz plays Donald Glover's girlfriend Vanessa on FX's "Atlanta," which earned two Golden Globe Awards, one for Best Television Series -- Musical or Comedy and the other for Best Actor -- Television Series Musical or Comedy for Glover's performance as Earn. The actress also appeared on the 2016 Netflix anthology series "Easy."

The “Deadpool” sequel is directed by David Leitch (“John Wick”), and stars Reynolds, joined by (so far) Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Karan Soni as Dopinder and, presumably, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus. It’s targeted for release in 2018.
