Even with only one episode under its belt, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" is already saving the day, at least for The CW.

The CW landed in the number four spot for overall ratings, thanks in part to the series premiere of "Legends of Tomorrow." The CW scored a 1.0/3 and fifth rating in viewers with 2.6 million viewers in the key 18-49 demographic, and that's just the preliminary numbers. On its own, "Legends of Tomorrow" bowed to a 1.2/4 rating with 3.1 million viewers.

The ratings pushed The CW ahead of ABC, which fell to the fifth slot overall. Fox cinched the top spot due to "American Idol," which aired its final round of auditions.

Airing Thursday nights at 8 pm EST on The CW, "Legends of Tomorrow" stars Caity Lotz as White Canary, Brandon Routh as the Atom, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein (one-half of Firestorm), Franz Drameh as Jefferson "Jax" Jackson (the other half of Firestorm), Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl and Arthur Darvill as time-traveler Rip Hunter.
