While she didn’t have any powers of her own, Gotham prosecutor Kate Spencer still moonlighted as a vigilante known as Manhunter. Disillusioned by the legal justice system, Spencer appropriated confiscated gear to create her costumed identity.

The main component of her Manhunter gear was a stripped-down exo-mantle formerly used by members of the Darkstars. It enhanced Manhunter with super strength and durability. She also got her hands on the clawed gloves created by Azrael when he took over as an alternate version of Batman. She modified this gear along with weapons like the former Manhunter’s power baton.

However, without a human host, Yz can’t access the full extent of his powers and resided within a pen. Jakeem used the pen to summon Yz and reluctantly joined the JSA as a hero. They fought together as Thunderbolt, just like Yz and Johhny Thunder did years earlier.
