On the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" red carpet, DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns revealed that the company has plans for Booster Gold.

"You'll see [Booster Gold] very soon, and there's talks about...there's actually a lot of plans for Booster Gold, one of my favorite characters," Johns told ComicBook.com. "But yeah, Booster Gold fans, you will definitely be happy with what we've got coming up in the years ahead."

In his statement, Johns doesn't clarify whether he was referring to movies, TV, comics or all three. However, rumors of a Booster Gold/Blue Beetle film have circulated since last fall, while the DCTV universe continues to expand, complete with time travelers like Gold on "Legends of Tomorrow." Additionally, while he has appeared in DC Comics' New 52, he has not has a series of his own for a few years.

Booster Gold, created by Dan Jurgens, is a time-traveler from the future who journeyed to our present to gain fame and fortune as a superhero. He first appeared in 1986 and saw increased prominence in the DCU following the best-selling "Death of Superman" storyline in the '90s, gaining even more popularity through his appearances in "Justice League" (where his friendship with Blue Beetle Ted Kord began) and the "Booster Gold" series that ran from 2007-2011.
