DC Comics’ March Variant Theme Goes From “The Matrix” to “The Mask”

DC Comics has announced its newest variant theme month for March 2015 — and the publisher plans to head to the movies. While none of the covers will be a first look at Warner Bros. ambitious DC Comics-based film slate, the images are certainly movie-related, as some of the publisher’s top artists do their own, DC-inspired take on iconic film posters. Announced via Screenrant, /Film, IGN and HitFix, the 22 covers span films from “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure,” “Free Willy,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “The Fugitive,” “The Matrix,” “Magic Mike” and many more.

UPDATE 12/12/2014 12:00 PM PT: Images of Buzzfeed‘s four cover reveals — “Catwoman,” “Grayson,” “Justice League Dark” and “Justice League” have been added to the image gallery.

UPDATE 12/12/2014 2:57 PM PT: DC Comics has released the final two cover images of “Sinestro” and “Wonder Woman.” Both have been added to the image gallery.
