With Comic-Con International: San Diego just days away, DC Comics has announced a new wristband policy for all the exciting panels and signings happening at their booth (#1915).

Instead of the usual "first come, first served" system of the past, a new lottery system will now be in place. Starting Thursday, July 21 and continuing Friday and Saturday, fans interested in events at the DC or Warner Bros. booths will head to the Sails Pavilion of the Convention Center and join the WB queue line, which opens at 6 AM.

After choosing an event, a raffle ticket will be drawn with two possible outcomes. If the ticket has a unique stamp, a wristband will be issued for the chosen event. If not, fans are invited to return to the line and try their luck again. The lottery is opened to anyone with an SDCC badge, including exhibitors and professionals.

The new policy applies to all WB/DC events with the exception of the "Batman Arkham" VR demos. Wristbands for that event will still be issued "first come, first served." Demos are currently scheduled between 10 AM and 2 PM Thursday through Saturday. After 2 PM Con-goers can receive wristbands from the Arkham demo station at the DC booth. On Sunday, wristbands will be handed out all day at the DC booth.
