New series artist Billy Tan covers "Green Lantern" #21.

Fans of the Green Lantern's wait is over. After DC Comics CCO and franchise mastermind Geoff Johns announced that he'd step down from the character he brought to the widest prominence he's ever had, the publisher today announced the new creative teams that would take over the GL line via MTV Geek.

The flagship "Green Lantern" title will be written by "X-O Manowar" and "Demon Knights" scribe Robert Venditti while Billy Tan will take on art duties. Meanwhile, "I, Vampire's" Joshua Hale Fialkov steps into a major role writing both "Green Lantern Corps" for artist Bernard Chang and "Red Lanterns" for Alessandro Vitti. The final title in the current crops of GL-based series, "Green Lantern: New Guardians," welcomes "Deathstroke's" Justin Jordan and "Action Comics" Brad Walker.

In a surprising addition to the line, "Larfleeze" -the selfish holder of the Orange Lantern -will get his own series by Keith Giffen and Scott Kolins which will likely play off the work the pair have done with the character already as part of their "Threshold" comic.
