Dave Wilson will direct the upcoming “Bloodshot” movie, as revealed by "Arrival" writer Eric Heisserer and Valiant Entertainment CEO Dinesh Shamdasani at Emerald City Comicon. Wilson is an accomplished visual effects artist who has directed trailers for video games like Ubisoft’s “The Division” and Zenimax Online’s “Elder Scrolls Online” at “Deadpool” director Tim Miller’s Blur Studios. Having originally debuted in Valiant's “Eternal Warrior” #4, the character Bloodshot was created by Kevin VanHook and Yvel Guichet in 1992. Chockful of nanomachines, Bloodshot heals extraordinarily fast, can shape-shift on the fly and has the ability to hack into computers using only the power of the tiny computers in his bloodstream. Bloodshot also boasts an extreme aptitude for hand-to-hand combat and, as a former soldier, is well-versed in all manner of weapons-training.

Because of all the nanomachines in his bloodstream, though, Bloodshot’s brain is starved for oxygen, making him amnesiac. Originally a pawn in the Rising Spirits project, Bloodshot’s memories are eventually unlocked, triggering him to hunt down the people who turned him into a cyborg killing machine.
