After an opening year that helped define the new Star Wars expanded universe, Disney XD's Star Wars Rebels is prepping for the injection of a major force from the franchise in Season 2.

As part of the ongoing Star Wars Celebration event, the show debuted a trailer for its second season focusing on the retaliation of Darth Vader against the show's core cast. The panel at SWC also announced that actor Dee Bradley Baker would join the series and bring with him three of his characters from the last Star Wars show, Clone Wars with him: Captain Rex, Commander Wolffe and Gregor. Baker joins the already returned Clone Wars character Ahsoka Tano as voiced by Ashley Eckstein as well as Sarah Michelle Gellar who is joining as a still mysterious character.

Set between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, Star Wars Rebels follows a ragtag bunch of rebels who band together aboard the freighter ship Ghost even as the Empire strengthens its grip on the galaxy and hunts down the last remaining Jedi Knights.

Season 1 just wrapped in March, and Disney XD promises the new season will arrive this summer.
