THE DARK KNIGHT RISES
Anne Hathaway tells The Los Angeles Times Hero Complex that she found unusual inspiration for her take on Catwoman in the films of Hedy Lamarr, an actress from the 1930s that Bob Kane cited as a model for the character. “I know this sounds odd, but her breathing is extraordinary,” says Hathaway. “She takes these long, deep, languid breaths and exhales slowly. The whole “Robocop” concept fell on its ass when they tried to make him a genuine action hero.
