DARK KNIGHT RISES
Warning! Spoilers Ahead!
“I play young Talia al Ghul,” the actress told My Entertainment World. “I can’t give too much away because I promised Mr. Nolan I wouldn’t say anything. There are too many secrets about the character and the movie.”

Do you want to smell just like the Avengers? Comic Book Movie has compiled a number of images for new “Avengers” related merchandise, including fragrances of men’s cologne modeled after each of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Nick Fury, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Loki all get a unique scent — I wonder if it’s what Wolverine smells whenever he’s tracking one of them.
If cologne isn’t quite your speed, the website has also posted some fan images of the upcoming “Avengers” toys found at Toys ‘R Us. Marvel has a liveblog later today which promises a special new look at the Hasbro action figures.
Directed by Joss Whedon and starring everybody. Opens May 4
“Judge Dredd” creator John Wagner spoke with Hero Complex about the character and the remake of the film, giving fans a better idea of what to expect come release day.
“The plot is about Dredd and his world,” Wagner told Hero Complex. “It’s impossible to cover every aspect of the character and his city — perhaps that was one of the failings of the first film; they tried to do too much and ended up with not a lot. ‘Dredd’ homes in on the essential job of judging — instant justice in a violent future city. I like the actors, they’re well cast and they handled their parts well. Olivia Thirlby is perfect as Anderson, the young psi judge. She gives the character a touching vulnerability. Karl Urban will not remove his helmet and will not kiss his costar.”
Opens September 21
TotalFilm caught up with “John Carter” star Taylor Kitsch during a set visit, where the actor briefly detailed the physical challenge of his role as John Carter.
“It’s beyond grueling for me,” the actor told TotalFilm. “I’m basically in every scene. You can see the action on it. The main thing I’ve learned is energy conservation.”
Comic Book Movie has also posted a new international poster for the film.
Opens March 9
X-MEN: FIRST CLASS 2
While speaking with IFC, Michael Fassbender explained his understanding of Magneto’s relationship with Professor X and its direction for the “First Class” sequel.
“You know what’s interesting about Magneto and Professor X from the comic books as well, is there’s such a complexity to their relationship,” the actor told IFC. “It’s not just like clear-cut enemies; they’re best friends as well. In the comic books, even after they’ve had this sort of rift, Professor X asks Magneto to come back and look after the students at certain points. … I think there’s always that complexity in their relationship and we want to keep that alive as possible, because that’s I think a really interesting thing — the conflict there.”
In an interview with MTV, Joe Carnahan teased a role for Liam Neeson as character Blake Morrow.
“I think what Liam would be interested in is, essentially that the story is the anti-Batman,” Carnahan told MTV. “It’s a billionaire who’s, instead of being benevolent and kind, is cruel and unusual. … It’s long in coming but it’s certainly something I’d be interested in adapting.”
