DARK KNIGHT RISES
According to The Hollywood Reporter, advance ticket sales for “The Dark Knight Rises” have already reached $25 million, putting it an eighth of the way to reaching the record setting opening weekend of “The Avengers.” The film is expected to hit somewhere in the range of $170 million for opening weekend.
MTV has an interview with Tom Hardy about his role in the film and how it differs from the traditional comic book take on Bane.
“Chris Nolan’s take on [Bane] was intrinsically lateral because he has a way of wanting and desiring to breathe a realism and a lateral thought into that which has already come through the comic book world,” Hardy told MTV. “I think largely that’s going to upset some people and there’s some people that are going to really hang onto that, and I’m one of those people that really enjoys that actually, to be quite honest — carving a new way through something that’s already a set piece on the planet.”
Finally, Comic Book Movie has posted a gallery of new stills for the upcoming film. Click through for the whole gallery and check out this awesome still of Catwoman below.

Jesse Bradford and Lizzy Caplan spoke to Movieline about their involvement in the upcoming Marvel One-Shot “Item 47.”
“I read for ‘Captain America,'” Bradford told Movieline of his previous superhero experience. “I was literally looking at the material, going, ‘What are they, crazy? I’m not right for this.’ I got nothing to lose by going in there, but I know I’m not going to get it. And I’m walking in there going, ‘They should just give this job to Chris Evans — he’s perfect for this!’ He’s my buddy, and as I was auditioning, I was picturing Chris Evans saying the words.”
“I personally love it when I see actors that you wouldn’t expect in movies like this,” Caplan said. “Like I think Robert Downey Jr. was sort of that in Iron Man, and he was amazing in that. I want to see people I identify with other types of films in something with a scale like this.”

THOR: THE DARK WORLD
Stuntman James Grogan may have given away a spoiler for “Thor: The Dark World” in an interview with I Review Too.
“The other day for example, this is quite random but I was working on Thor 2,” Grogan told I Review Too. “I had a load of stunt guys in and the director came in and he said ‘Look, we want you all to be elves,’ and I was like ‘What the hell is an elf anyway?’ and he said ‘I want you all to walk around like these supernatural animals,’ honestly it was the most ridiculous thing ever but you just have to not be self aware and get on with it.”
File this one under rumor until more information is confirmed, but there are indeed elves in Thor lore — the info is just a bit ambiguous at the moment. Stay tuned.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from the “Arrested Development” film, but MTV recently interviewed Mae Whitman (who played Ann on the show), who revealed her hopes for the reunion film should she be involved.
“My dream scenario is just that everybody gets brought back, every loose end is somehow incorporated because there were so many loose ends and what makes that show so special is all the small intricacies and how everybody ties in together,” Whitman told MTV. “To me it would be a grand finale fireworks thing if everybody somehow found this big connection and I definitely know that Mitch [Hurwitz] is extremely talented and will find a way to do that.”
