Dark Horse Comics To Publish Original Graphic Novel “Muhammad Ali”

Long live “The Champ”! For the first time in English, Dark Horse Comics is publishing the French graphic novel, “Muhammad Ali.” Written by Sybille Titeux with art provided by Amazing Ameziane, the graphic novel was originally released in October 2015.

The graphic novel recounts Ali’s life, starting with his days as the young, impetuous boxer, Cassius Clay. Going on to win the Olympic gold medal in the light heavyweight division in the 1960 Olympics in Rome, Ali would change his name from Cassius Clay to Muhammad Ali in 1964. Ali would be stripped of his first heavyweight title in ’67 and banned from boxing, altogether, for three years for refusing to serve in the military after being drafted. The ban would set him on his journey to not only a becoming a leading civil rights activist, but one the greatest icons of the twentieth century.

“Muhammad Ali” retails for $19.99 and is expected to hit local comic shops October 26th, 2016.
