You may recall that earlier this year Simon Pegg let slip that Daniel Craig has a cameo as a Stormtrooper in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," an assertion later dismissed by the James Bond actor.

“Why would I ever bother doing something like that?” Craig responded, perhaps somewhat unconvincingly. “Fucking hell! Pffft. Play an extra in another movie?”

Well, Entertainment Weekly now confirms he does have a minor role in the J.J. Abrams film as -- brace yourselves! -- a Stormtrooper.

Citing multiple sources "close to 'The Force Awakens,'" EW reports Craig appears in armor "in one of the movie’s most memorably nostalgic scenes"; although his face is never shown, we do hear his voice. The website describes the sequence, but we won't repeat it here because of spoilers. (Read that EW account at your own risk!)

"Spectre" filmed at Pinewood Studios outside London at the same time as "The Force Awakens," allowing Craig to slip on and off the set without much notice. And he might've gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for Simon Pegg!
