CW Delays 'Beauty and the Beast's' Return

The network has pushed back the Season 3 premiere by three weeks.

The CW has pushed back the Season 3 premiere of "Beauty and the Beast," the drama starring Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan.

Originally set to return May 21, the series will now kick off its new season Thursday, June 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

As the third season opens, Cat (Kreuk) and Vincent (Ryan) can focus on their relationship, finally free of Muirfield, manhunts and beasts. However, their love will be tested when they uncover a new conspiracy that Vincent can only fight by turning to the beast he carries within him.

While not a ratings juggernaut, "Beauty and the Beast" apparently performs well online and overseas, earning the series a Season 4 renewal in February.
