The CW's "Black Lightning" pilot has added another actress to its rapidly expanding cast.

Deadline reports Christine Adams will play Lynn, the ex-wife of DC Comics superhero Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams), described as a woman with a "mischievous side" who will do whatever it takes to protect her family.

Adams, whose credits include "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "Feed the Beast" and Terra Nova, joins recent additions Nafessa Williams and China Anne McClain, who play Jennifer Pierce (aka Lightning) and Anissa Pierce (aka Thunder), the daughters of Lynn and Jefferson.

The pilot centers on Pierce, who, years earlier, decided to hang up his superhero identity. However, his daughters ultimately pull him back into the fight as the costumed vigilante Black Lightning.

The project was initially in development at Fox, but after the network passed on the pilot, it moved to The CW, where it will join producer Greg Berlanti’s other DC superhero properties, "Arrow," "The Flash," "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" and "Supergirl."

The pilot was written by the husband and wife team of Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil, with Salim pulling double duty as the director of the pilot. Although a filming date hasn't been announced, Deadline has confirmed that it will be shot in Atlanta.
