After a bit of teasing the new trailer has at last arrived for the "Sherlock" holiday special, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as a deerstalker cap-wearing Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as a mustachioed John Watson.

As previously revealed, the 90-minute special is indeed set in Victorian London, but how or why remains a mystery. “We discovered that there was some precedent for doing Sherlock Holmes in the Victorian Era,” co-creator Steven Moffat joked at Comic-Con International. “We took a look at the books and said, ‘Oh, we got it wrong — it’s not supposed to be in the modern era at all.”

PBS has yet to announce when the "Sherlock" special will air in the United States.
