Writer Cullen Bunn is one of the busiest creators in comic books today. His resume boasts credits for publishers such as Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Oni Press, Dark Horse, BOOM! Studios, and IDW Publishing. Not one to stay idle for long, it appears Bunn may be adding another secret project to his to-do list in the not-too-distant future.RELATED: X-Position: Bunn Teases IvX's Impact On Uncanny X-Men"A big announcement is coming your way later this week!" Bunn teased on Twitter Monday night.

No other information was given regarding the announcement. It is possible Bunn has a new comic book series to reveal. His new event series "Monsters Unleashed" kicks off this week from Marvel and sees larger-than-life monsters rampage across the superhero universe. The writer has also spent a good amount of time on the X-Men franchise on comics like "Magneto" and "Uncanny X-Men," a variety of "Deadpool" projects, and he will launch "X-Men Blue" with artist Jorge Molina in April. "X-Men Blue" stars the time-tossed team of Cyclops, Iceman, Beast and Angel, with Magneto as their mentor-figure. February also sees the debut of his Star Wars limited series "Star Wars: Darth Maul."

Perhaps Bunn's announcement is tied to another medium besides comics. A number of his creator-owned projects have been optioned for television and film. "Harrow County" is moving forward at Syfy in a first-look deal between Dark Horse and Universal Cable, and "The Empty Man" from BOOM! was optioned for a film adaptation from 20th Century Fox.
