"Crisis on Infinite Earths," this year's major crossover between The CW's Arrowverse shows, is bringing a little bit of the Old West back for the event.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Johnathon Schaech will reprise his role as Jonah Hex for the crossover. Since he comes from another time period altogether, it is unclear how he will become involved, though the Legends of Tomorrow's time-travelling ship the Waverider may have something to do with it. Notably, the character did appear in the comic book maxiseries of the same name.

Schaech's Jonah Hex has appeared on DC's Legends of Tomorrow three times. He originally made his Arrowverse debut in Season 1's "The Magnificent Eight," which saw the team head back to the Old West. He reappeared in the Season 2 episode "Outlaw Country" and in the Season 3 finale "The Good, the Bad and the Cuddly," which saw the demon Mallus use Hex's latest location as a major battleground. Fortunately, the Legends were able to unite as a giant-sized Beebo and defeat Mallus and his army once and for all.

"Crisis on Infinite Earths" already has a star-studded list of guest stars. Batman: The Animated Series star Kevin Conroy, Black Lightning's Cress Williams, Batman 1966 star Burt Ward and "Elseworlds" alums Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch are among those appearing the crossover. DC's Legends of Tomorrow star Brandon Routh will also suit up as Kingdom Come Superman.
