CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER
We have a couple of Captain America related videos for you this morning. First, Reeler Holden spotted this TV ad that features a team in the Arctic:
Since we know the film will have bookends, I’m guessing these snowbound shots are from the film’s opening moments. Meanwhile, IGN and screenwriters Chris Markus & Stephen McFeely offer some commentary on the latest trailer:

Empire has a new photo of Ian McKellan as Gandalf smoking his pipe at Bag End:
Y’know, I wonder if Peter Jackson intends to include that scene from “The Quest of Erebor” where the Grey Pilgrim first meets Thorin Oakenshield at the Prancing Pony and determines helping him reclaim The Lonley Mountain is good because Sauron would eventually recruit Smaug into his army. I’m not entirely sure why this picture made me think of that … must be the look on Gandalf’s face.
Release date: December 14th, 2012 & December 13th, 2013
THE INCREDIBLE HULK
Spinoff Online reports that the Hulk’s return to television is still in development. “We turned in the outline to ABC about four weeks ago,” says Guillermo del Torro, who serves as a producer on the project. “And then we did a rewrite for ABC on the outline, and now we are lining up the pages.” David Eick of “Battlestar Galactica” remake fame is also involved in story development and will eventually write the script.
CATCHING UP WITH COMICS
My “to read” stack is piled up again. As crazy as it seems, I’m two trades behind in “B.P.R.D.,” but I am caught up on “Fables.” Also, at some point, I need to pick up that last two “Starman” Omnibus editions. The stack also contains the recent “Metabarons” release, that first “Criminal” trade and two collections of the Giffen/DeMatteis “Justice League.” Looks like I have a lot of reading ahead of me. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of my next trip to the comic shop.
