Official Press Release

March 19, 2007, Runnemede, NJ - DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT released images and information today announcing the next Dynamite Select Poster, which showcases the "zombified" artwork of Arthur Suydam's cover to Raise the Dead #2, Dynamite's terrifying new zombie series. Advance orders are being taken for the Dynamite Select: Raise the Dead Poster by Arthur Suydam -- with shipping scheduled for a July release.

Painter Arthur Suydam has earned super-star status in the comic book industry with his "zombified" versions of classic Marvel covers for Marvel Zombies and the upcoming Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness Limited Series. In the past Arthur has contributed his amazing painting skills to many publications, including Heavy Metal, House of Secrets and Epic Illustrated; and more recently Dynamite's new anthology series -- Savage Tales. Authur's latest additions to his "zombified" art gallery come as he revives some classic pop culture images for a series of covers to Dynamite's Raise the Dead series. The "zombified" image pays homage to one of America's most beloved artists, Norman Rockwell, as Arthur turns the heartwarming "Runaway" into a frightening scene as only he can.

Dynamite stated, "When Arthur's cover image for Raise the Dead #2 were released, requests came rushing in to make his 'zombified' version of Rockwell's 'Runaway' into the next Dynamite Select Poster. Arthur's painting is so good it's scary- and vice versa!"

About working on the covers for Raise the Dead, Arthur Suydam exclaimed, "Raise the Dead is great. It's a rare opportunity for any illustrator to be able to tackle some of the most notable paintings ever created, and do a fantastical version of these iconic images. What artist wouldn't jump at that?"
