The mystery surrounding Thor's whereabouts during the events of "Captain America: Civil War" was finally solved with the debut of a video at Comic-Con International in which a shorts-wearing thunder god needed a little "me time" after helping to save the world from Ultron. And so he headed to Australia, and moved into an apartment with an office worker named Darryl.

The remarkably normal Darryl delighted fans with his everyman demeanor -- and now there are some hints that he might make a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While promoting his film "Hunt for the Wilderpeople," "Thor: Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi told IGN there's a good chance that lighthearted "Civil War" featurette may not be the final appearance of Darryl.

"I think you probably could see him again," he said. "There may be other little pieces of that thing that everyone saw that may just be a small part of a bigger thing."

That certainly makes it sound as there's more to that featurette, or perhaps that Darryl has a larger part to play in Thor's story. Whatever the case, Waititi wouldn't reveal more.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, Karl Urban and Mark Ruffalo, "Thor: Ragnarok" opens Nov. 3, 2017.
