New Line just got a little spookier. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film company has set its sights on "The Nun," a spinoff of the recently released "Conjuring 2."

"Conjuring" director James Wan is set to return as producer alongside Peter Safran. Additionally, "Conjuring 2" co-writer David Leslie Johnson is on board to pen a script for the film.

Interestingly enough, the Nun -- a demonic manifestation that appears in "The Conjuring 2" -- was a last-minute addition; originally, the demonic figure had a more classic, horned look. Wan came up with the idea for the Nun three months before the movie hit theaters and added the character during reshoots.

“The Conjuring 2” stars Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Frances O’Connor, Madison Wolfe, Simon McBurney, Franka Potente, Lauren Esposito, Patrick McAuley, Benjamin Haigh, Maria Doyle Kennedy, and Simon Delaney and is now in theaters.
