"Star Wars Battlefront" publisher EA has confirmed that a sequel to its 2015 hit game is officially on the way -- with content from "the new movies."

According to GameSpot, EA exec Blake Jorgensen revealed in an earnings call that the "Battlefront" sequel will feature "bigger and better worlds," in addition to material from "the new movies" to work off of.

Additionally, Jorgensen confirmed EA's plans to release a new "Star Wars" game every year, for the next three or four years. He noted that the "Battlefront" sequel will come out next year.

Also in the pipeline is a new "Star Wars" action game from "Dead Space" studio Visceral and Motive -- due in stores next year -- and a third-person action-adventure "Star Wars" game from "Titanfall" developer Respawn.
