"Firefly" stars Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk have announced a raft of guest stars for their crowdfunded web series "Con Man" that includes "Battlestar Galactica" veterans Tricia Helfer and Michael Trucco, and "The Walking Dead" alum Emily Kinney.

According to Nerdist, they're joined by Robert Patrick ("Terminator 2: Judgment Day"), Mindy Sterling ("Austin Powers"), Nolan North ("Uncharted") and Samantha Smith ("Supernatural"). And those are only the actors announced so far.

"Con Man" follows Wray Nerely (Tudyk), the former star of a prematurely canceled sci-fi series that became a cult hit, as he makes the rounds at conventions and comic book stores. Fillion plays his co-star and best friend, Jack Moore, who becomes "Matt Damon famous" after the show’s demise.

The Indiegogo campaign is approaching $2.5 million, at which point Tudyk and producer PJ Haarsma will add to the mix a "Con Man" novel, available as a free eBook for all contributors.

Tudyk is writing and directing the series, with Fillion producing. Sean Maher, Gina Torres, James Gunn, Seth Green, Felicia Day and Amy Acker will also appear.
