X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

Paper interviewed Lana Condor, the actor playing Jubilee in "X-Men: Apocalypse," and she opened up about what she likes about her character.

"She's just so cool. Way cooler than I am, I think," said Condor. "She gets along with everyone. I was having this discussion with Bryan [Singer], our director, about how she represents Asians in general. X-Men have always been outsiders -- minority groups, gays and lesbians. It's like the outsiders banding together to be one. So they never really had another Asian, except for Blink, so Jubilee gets to represent the Asian outsiders who haven't really had the easiest time fitting into society. And that's cool. A lot of my followers are Asian or Hispanic. People are excited: 'A real Asian is in the film?' It's funny but it's kind of true.

"At Comic-Con I totally thought no one was going to know who I was," she also said. "I was like, 'There's no reason for me to be here, no one will know.' But when I was announced and walked out on stage people were cheering and that was the weirdest thing for me. I'm so blessed for Jubilee to already have a pre-existing fan base, which a lot of actors and actresses just starting out in the business don't have. I was so blessed that Jubilee already had this fan base. It's been crazy how supportive people have been without even seeing my work."

SUPERGIRL

TV Line has an interview with Laura Vandervoort wherein the actor talks about her time as Supergirl on "Smallville" and how she relates to Melissa Benoist's interpretation.

"[Melissa's] got an awesome costume," said Vandervoort. "She's got the muscle padding and the cape and the whole nine yards, even the 'S.' On 'Smallville,' mine wasn't quite as workable. [Laughs] It was jean shorts and a belly shirt. And again, that was a part of the time and the style of Supergirl that we were portraying, which was a young, rebellious, teen Supergirl who thinks she has it all figured out. I didn't have the cape, so I was actually in [Melissa's] wardrobe and touched the cape just to feel the weight of it. It's a really, really cool costume, and she wears it well."

She also spoke about her villain character on the new series, Indigo.

"She's a pretty great nemesis for Supergirl," said Vandervoort of Indigo. "She's matched in strength, and the fact that she's able to transport through the Internet and technology makes her hard to grab. She can pop up at any point, anywhere. She can move through computers to get to people on the other side. There's that extra quality to her that Supergirl can't always handle. And Supergirl actually goes to the Fortress of Solitude to try to find a way and learn how to properly fight Indigo, because she is so frustrated with the fact that she can't defeat her."

A new clip from "Supergirl" features Indigo and teases her ties to Superman villain Brainiac.

YOUNG JUSTICE

ComicBook.com spoke with "Young Justice" showrunner Brandon Vietti and asked him if the series would get a long-awaited third season.

"I don't know," said Vietti. "That's the best answer I can give you. I'd be happy to do another one; Greg [Weisman] would be; Phil Bourassa, the character designer. We'd all in a heartbeat come back to do a third season if the Powers-That-Be feel they want to do that... I love that world. We were not done telling stories; we had tons of ideas for more seasons ready to go, so yeah, I'd love to get into it."
