FANTASTIC FOURDuring a recent interview with Esquire Mexico (translated by Comic Book Movie), Kate Mara revealed that the plot of Josh Trank's "Fantastic Four" isn't based on any comic book plot.

"I've never been a fan of comics, I've never actually read one," Mara told Esquire Mexico. "I was going to for this movie but the director said it wasn't necessary. Well, actually he told us that we shouldn't do it because the plot won't be based on any history of anything already published. So I chose to follow his instructions. The one fact is I am a fan of comic book movies, so it's very exciting to be part of a movie like this."

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRONAndy Serkis spoke with The Daily Beast about his experiences in motion capture performance, and he discussed a bit of what he's doing as performance capture consultant for "Avengers: Age of Ultron," and helping Mark Ruffalo with his Hulk portrayal.

"The difference for Mark this time around is that the Imaginarium, which is our performance-capture studio in London that's providing all the performance capture for the 'Avengers' movie, is providing education," Serkis told The Daily Beast. "Previously, he would've walked onto a set and you've got Thor and all the other characters in their costumes looking magnificent, and then you'd have Mark in a grey motion-capture suit playing this enormous character, so it's about giving the actor the right atmosphere and credibility for the performance, which we did in a number of ways. We had to educate the director that the actor owns the role, and what you get on the set is what you should be aiming to put into your cut as the final performance -- with the rendering coming later on.

"Also, we worked with Mark in really grounding him and playing with the digital avatar before going on set so he could see himself as the Hulk before going onscreen, and we put weights and inhibitors on him to give him the sense that his arms were these big, giant wrecking balls, and so that his biceps wouldn't intersect with his body," he continued. "We equipped him. We also gave him a sound system and pitch-modulated his voice so you could hear the enormous Hulk roar coming out of these speakers, so the crew would go, 'Jesus! That's Hulk on set!' It gives Mark the sense of feeling better, and if he feels better, then he'll be more comfortable in the performance."

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2Badass Digest has reportedly gotten a hold of the original script for "Amazing Spider-Man 2" by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, which has quite a few key differences from the final cut of the film. Not only did it feature Mary Jane Watson, but the end of the film was supposed to contain -- finally -- the "With great power comes great responsibility line," but from Peter's father, not a dying Uncle Ben. Lots of interesting differences and well worth checking out the full report.

GOTHAMA new "Gotham" rumor from Bleeding Cool states that there will be a future Joker in the series -- but it's going to be hard to tell who it is. Reportedly, each episode in "Gotham's" debut season will introduce a character who may become a future Joker, all exhibiting different aspects of the character. It's actually a pretty interesting concept if true, and certainly, it's in showrunner Bruno Heller's wheelhouse to tease out clues for the overarching antagonist over the course of many seasons. Heller is also the creator of the CBS procedural "The Mentalist," which spent a long while teasing the reveal of the series' antagonist Red John.
