AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRONAccess Hollywood spoke with Jeremy Renner about his role as Hawkeye in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and what to expect from the upcoming film.

"That one can be bigger and better and more intimate. Everything that worked well in the first one is going to be exponentially better," Renner told Access Hollywood. "The comedic relief, the action -- it's going to be bigger. There is more time spent with all the Avengers together as a unit on and off the clock, which is actually really fun. A lot of secrets are revealed and more secrets are posed."

Renner also stated he wanted to play Hawkeye because of his status as a regular guy with a particular set of skills.

"I could relate to that -- a guy with just a high skillset? Yeah. I could never do what [Chris] Hemsworth does, fly around with a big hammer, and sell that. He can do it. I can't. There's a lot more of Hawkeye in this one too, so it's great fun."

Y: THE LAST MANThose hoping for a "Y: The Last Man" film any time soon may be disappointed. After many years in development at New Line, the rights to "Y: The Last Man" have reverted to series creators Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra. The news was confirmed by the film adaptation's director Dan Trachtenberg, who expressed sadness at not being able to bring his version to the big screen, but, "Like everyone else who's a fan of the series I had always wished it either remain in its comic book form [...] or, if it must be made, a TV series would be the only thing that would suffice."

THE WALKING DEADThere have been many rumors about "The Walking Dead" character Daryl Dixon's sexuality for the upcoming season, but actor Norman Reedus revealed that the character was originally supposed to be revealed as gay under showrunner Frank Darabont.

"I remember Frank Darabont, after the first season, we were at a party in L.A," Reedus told GQ. "He said, 'I've got an idea for Daryl. He's gay. Would you be interested in that?' I was like, 'Let me hear you out.' He said, 'Well, he's prison gay. Like, you'll catch him looking at a member of the same sex, but if you mention it to him, he'll just stab you and be like, What the fuck? He will never admit it.' I was like, 'That'll blow minds -- let's do that.' And he said, 'I knew I hired you for a reason.'"

Reedus was quick to clarify that the idea for Daryl had nothing to do with Darabont's departure from the show. The actor also discussed his approach to the character's sexuality over the course of the GQ piece.

"He's definitely not a ladies' man or thinks of himself as having enough confidence to be that type of person," Reedus said. "I want to play him searching for confidence, not full of confidence, you know what I mean? I like all the little things that are awkward. I like when a boy meets a girl, doesn't know what to say, and says the wrong thing, and she notices that, and he notices that she notices that. I think that's all very interesting, and I would rather play him like not somebody that's got cool-guy moves or anything like that."
