CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER
Writer Ed Brubaker — who wrote the run of “Captain America” comics on which “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is based — took to Twitter after the debut of the “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” trailer to give a few of his thoughts, which were overwhelmingly positive, and assure fans that he doesn’t feel “screwed over” by Marvel in any way.
“That movie is a huge present to me an Steve Epting. As will be the royalties on the new ‘Cap: Winter Soldier’ hardback,” said Brubaker via Twitter. “Also, please please stop assuming Marvel are screwing me and Steve on this movie somehow, or ‘hoping we get our credit’ etc. We’re fine. We knew what we were doing when we started Cap and we are very happy and not feeling at all taken advantage of at all. The Russo bros and McFeely and Markus both loved our run and talk about it a lot in the press, as does [Kevin Feige]. We’re very happy about it.”

411 Mania spoke with Ben Affleck about a myriad of topics, including his decision to take the role of Batman in Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” follow-up.
“Initially I was reluctant as I felt I didn’t fit the traditional mold but once Zack showed me the concept, and that it would be both different from the great movies that Chris and Christian made but still in keeping with tradition I was excited,” Affleck told 411 Mania. “Doing something different and new is always tricky and part of the thrill and the risk is that initially it confounds expectations. The truth is, it’s the movie and the execution of it is what all the actors depend on and I believe in Zack’s vision.”

WONDER WOMAN ANIMATED
ToonZone spoke with Warner Bros. Animation’s James Tucker about the possibility of a new “Wonder Woman” animated feature, and while Tucker was optimistic about the Amazonian’s chances, he did say that the film would likely appear under the “Justice League” banner rather than being titled “Wonder Woman.”
“They’d have to have a movie out and it’d have to do really, really, really, really REALLY well for them to go back to that,” Tucker told ToonZone. “You just never know. It hasn’t happened yet. But I would be all for it. As far as what we’re doing, we’ll probably do a Wonder Woman-centered Justice League movie. We’ll use the Justice League as an umbrella to focus on characters who might not be able to support DVDs of their own. That’s not my judgment, that’s based on sales. But yeah, we’ll handle Wonder Woman in our own way, regardless of whether they’ll do a movie or not. I like her as a character and want to feature her as much as we can. But it will probably be in the context of a Justice League movie.”
