Every week, I will be sharing with you three comic book "easter eggs." An easter egg is a joke/visual gag/in-joke that a comic book creator (typically the artist) has hidden in the pages of the comic for readers to find (just like an easter egg). They range from the not-so-obscure to the really obscure. So come check 'em all out and enjoy! Also, click here for an archive of all the easter eggs featured so far! If you want to suggest an easter egg for a future column, e-mail me at bcronin@comicbookresources.com (do not post your suggestion in the comments section!).

This week, we feature three examples of easter eggs in the pages of Ultimate Spider-Man, including...Ultimate BENDER?!?

First off, in the very fhttps://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/wp-admin/tools.phpirst issue of Ultimate Spider-Man (drawn by Mark Bagley and Art Thibert), reader Dancore noted that Mark Bagley sure seemed to be going for a Guy Gardner-esque vibe for Flash Thompson...

Here's an actual drawing of Guy Gardner by Bagley from a 2009 DC Universe Halloween Special (Click to enlarge)...

Later in the issue, Bagley sure seems to confirm the Gardner connection when you see Flash's T-shirt...

The Green Lantern T-shirt counts as an easter egg either way, by the way, even if you think Bagley did not intend for Flash to look like Guy!

My pal Chris N. pointed out this bit from Ultimate Spider-Man #75, where Mark Bagley and Scott Hanna show three Green Goblin masks (click on the image to enlarge), the one from the original Marvel Universe, the one from the movie and the one from the Ultimate Universe (the Ultimate Green Goblin doesn't actually wear a mask, but the mask is in the shape of what the Green Goblin looks like in the Ultimate universe)...

Finally, reader Pitr wrote in to point out that in Ultimate Spider-Man #153, when artist David LaFuente had Iron Man show Spider-Man his armor collection, mixed in with the armors is Bender from Futurama. See if you can spot him (click on the image to enlarge)!
