All throughout July, I will be sharing with you three comic book "easter eggs" a day. An easter egg is a joke/visual gag/in-joke that a comic book creator (typically the artist) has hidden in the pages of the comic for readers to find (just like an easter egg). They range from the not-so-obscure to the really obscure. So come check 'em all out and enjoy! Also, click here for an archive of all the easter eggs featured so far!

Bill K. e-mailed me this funny Monty Python Iron Man easter egg from the classic Bob Layton/David Michelinie run on Iron Man. I would imagine that this joke was courtesy of Layton, but I suppose it could have been Michelinie.

In any event, from Iron Man #140, check out the name of the luxury yacht that Tony and Rhodey are fishing off of...

If you don't get the reference, check out this old Monty Python sketch...

Very cute (and obscure!).

Thanks to Bill for the suggestion!

Aaron H. e-mailed me this sent me this fun Ghostbusters cameo from Amazing Spider-Man #589.

Everyone's favorite, Fred Van Lente, wrote the issue, although I imagine that this easter egg was more a product of artist Paulo Siqueria.

It is good to know that the Ghostbusters do volunteer work - hopefully it was not court ordered!

Thanks to Aaron for the suggestion!

Joe Hennes, of the Muppets website ToughPigs.com, e-mailed me to suggest this bit from Fables #34...

You see, that actually IS Jim Henson (formerly Charlie Chaplin) Studios!

Cool find, Joe! Thanks for the suggestion!

If you can think of an easter egg/in-joke that you would like to see me feature, drop me a line at bcronin@comicbookresources.com! DON'T make suggestions in the comments section, so as to not spoil the surprise for when I end up actually featuring your suggestion.

NOTE: A word about suggestions. I've gotten so many (which is great - keep 'em coming!) that I am going through them in the order that I receive them. So if you wonder why I did not credit you for a suggestion you sent in, it is because someone else sent it in first. No offense intended!
